A second device has now been reported in Ballymount on the city’s south side.

Gardaí investigating the discovery of a suspect device at the headquarters of Shell Ireland on Leeson Street in Dublin on September 9 arrested four people on Abbeyfield Road in Killester in north Dublin.

During the course of that operation they found another suspect device.

The Army Bomb Disposal Unit has examined the device and declared it a hoax.
