Female staff at Royal Dutch Shell earn more than a fifth less than their male colleagues, the oil giant has revealed.
The FTSE 100 group’s gender pay gap report showed a difference of 22.2 per cent on average for male and female employees in the UK.
But it said it was ‘confident we have equal pay’ and stressed the gap was largely down to the lack of women in senior management roles and higher-paid technical and trading jobs.

Shell, which openly lobbied for the Dutch dividend tax cut, could make significant cost savings if it were to scrap its dual share structure. While the oil price remains low, such a move could be well received. But Shell is also one of the biggest dividend payers in the UK. If it did shift its listing to Euronext, the implications would be enormous for domestic pension funds and investors — not to mention hugely symbolic as the Brexit negotiations roll on. 
Shell, in an initiative called “iShale,” has marshaled technology from a dozen oilfield suppliers, including devices from subsea specialist TechnipFMC Plc that separate fracking sand from oil and well-control software from Emerson Electric Co, to bring more automation and data analysis to shale operations.

Royal Dutch Shell conspired directly with Hitler, financed the Nazi Party, was anti-Semitic and sold out its own Dutch Jewish employees to the Nazis. Shell had a close relationship with the Nazis during and after the reign of Sir Henri Deterding, an ardent Nazi, and the founder and decades long leader of the Royal Dutch Shell Group. His burial ceremony, which had all the trappings of a state funeral, was held at his private estate in Mecklenburg, Germany. The spectacle (photographs below) included a funeral procession led by a horse drawn funeral hearse with senior Nazis officials and senior Royal Dutch Shell directors in attendance, Nazi salutes at the graveside, swastika banners on display and wreaths and personal tributes from Adolf Hitler and Reichsmarschall, Hermann Goring. Deterding was an honored associate and supporter of Hitler and a personal friend of Goring.
Deterding was the guest of Hitler during a four day summit meeting at Berchtesgaden. Sir Henri and Hitler both had ambitions on Russian oil fields. Only an honored personal guest would be rewarded with a private four day meeting at Hitler’s mountain top retreat.
