Four people were arrested over a foiled bomb attack on energy giant Shell’s Irish headquarters.
The two men and two women were detained during a raid at a home in the Killester area of north Dublin. A suspect device found in the house was later declared a hoax by the Army bomb squad.
The four were being questioned by officers probing the planting of an improvised explosive at Shell’s offices on Leeson Street in September – the scene of dozens of protests over the controversial Corrib gas project. All four were being held under the state’s anti-terror laws at separate city centre garda stations.
