Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) — Vietnam, Southeast Asia’s third- biggest oil producer, may buy crude from BP Plc, Royal Dutch Shell Plc and some Middle Eastern companies for the country’s first refinery.
“We need to buy crude oil for the refinery that will come into operation next year,” Tran Ngoc Canh, chief executive officer of state-owned Vietnam Oil & Gas Group, known as PetroVietnam, said at the GASEX 2008 conference in Hanoi.
