Trawling the Internet seeking information about Court cases involving Shell, we stumbled across details of current litigation in the U.S. Courts against Shell International for alleged theft of Intellectual Property.
I personally know of several High Court Actions successfully brought against Shell on the same grounds, all by me. All resulted in media coverage.
Is Shell not concerned that it must be losing out from parties no longer willing to disclose ideas to the group because of its reputation as a serial poacher and predator of Intellectual Property?

Royal Dutch Shell PLC may build units for cleaner-burning fuels at Pernis, Europe’s biggest oil refinery in the Netherlands. Shell may build a hydro-desulfurization unit, its sixth, and an accompanying sulphur-recovery plant, Shell spokesman Wim van de Wiel said in an interview yesterday, but a final investment decision has not been made. A European Union directive calling for lower sulphur in diesel comes into force in January. Shell said in May it was considering spending $1.6 billion Cdn. on building more pipelines, terminals and blending facilities at Pernis to be able to produce more types of fuels for export for around the world.

Some 1.2 million barrels of oil a day flow through Georgia, 1.4% of global crude supply. Attacks could send shockwaves through the world-wide supply chain. Alarm was triggered over the weekend by reports that Russian planes had bombed near a pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, or BTC, which brings 850,000 barrels of oil a day from Azerbaijan’s Caspian oilfields through Georgia to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean Sea.

Georgia may have no natural resources to speak of, yet it has become a key player for Europe, due to 155 miles of pipeline that snake across its territory.
The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline is the only practical route for carrying Caspian oil to Western markets that avoids Russia a treasured asset for the a European Union trying to reduce energy dependence on Moscow.
The BTC, which connects Baku in Azerbaijan, via the Georgian capital Tbilisi with Ceyhan, a port on the south-eastern Mediterranean coast of Turkey, was once billed as the “pipeline of peace”. Now it finds itself on the fringes of war zone as Russian and Georgia face off.
