KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 26 (Reuters) – A fire broke out at Royal Dutch Shell’s oil refinery in the southwestern Malaysian town of Port Dickson on Wednesday, temporarily disrupting operations, the Star newspaper said in its online edition.
The fire, the second in five weeks, started at 6.45 A.M. (2245 GMT) and caused minor damage to the refinery’s flare stack, it quoted Shell as saying. The fire was extinguished about 20 minutes later.
“There were no casualties and no one was injured in the incident. There is minimal asset damage on the flare stack and activities to normalise operations were in progress,” it said.
On Nov. 19, two crude oil storage tanks caught fire at the refinery, causing operations to be halted, the Star said.
The refinery has a licensed production capacity of 156,000 barrels per day and produces a wide range of petroleum products, 90 percent of which are consumed within Malaysia, Shell said previously.
No comment on the Star’s report was immediately available from Shell.

Royal Dutch Shell conspired directly with Hitler, financed the Nazi Party, was anti-Semitic and sold out its own Dutch Jewish employees to the Nazis. Shell had a close relationship with the Nazis during and after the reign of Sir Henri Deterding, an ardent Nazi, and the founder and decades long leader of the Royal Dutch Shell Group. His burial ceremony, which had all the trappings of a state funeral, was held at his private estate in Mecklenburg, Germany. The spectacle (photographs below) included a funeral procession led by a horse drawn funeral hearse with senior Nazis officials and senior Royal Dutch Shell directors in attendance, Nazi salutes at the graveside, swastika banners on display and wreaths and personal tributes from Adolf Hitler and Reichsmarschall, Hermann Goring. Deterding was an honored associate and supporter of Hitler and a personal friend of Goring.
Deterding was the guest of Hitler during a four day summit meeting at Berchtesgaden. Sir Henri and Hitler both had ambitions on Russian oil fields. Only an honored personal guest would be rewarded with a private four day meeting at Hitler’s mountain top retreat.
