OSSL allege that acting on Shell’s instructions, OSSL has distributed bribes on Shell’s behalf to parties connected with the project, including the Irish police force (the Garda) who have been the subject of serious accusations of wrong doing by environmental activists protesting against the project. The main accusation being that the Garda has acted as an offshoot of Shell security.

As you may be aware from our Shell Blog, a question mark has been raised over the authenticity of the alleged OSSL invoice to Shell dated 24 August 2012. My own reservations were plain from the email I sent to you yesterday.
Shell Accused of Corrupting Irish Police Force
At 11.25 this morning, we asked our contact acting for OSSL to scan company documents, original letters and purchase orders from Shell to prove the existence of OSSL and the fact that it had a business relationship with Shell EP Ireland.
The requested information was supplied with such speed that it could not have been anything other than genuine. It includes a registration document for VAT, a registration of business names document (for The OSSL Company), plus a purchase order OSSL received from Shell E & P Ireland Limited and a letter to OSSL from Shell E&P Ireland Limited confirming “Payment/Invoices Procedures.”
I will happily forward it all on, but there does not seem any point in doing so unless Shell denies its past business relationship with OSSL, which claims to have over 1,000 documents confirming the relationship (that apparently lasted for 9 years). This apparently included an open order document from Shell to cover all purchases under a single order number. That is apparently the order number shown on the invoice.
Apparently the company VAT number shown on the invoice is now defunct by arrangement with the Irish VAT authority.
The information supplied does not however directly confirm the authenticity of the invoice in question, so I would still be grateful for a confirmation or denial from Shell on that issue.
OSSL claim that they have engaged in a street protest outside the offices of KPMG, the accountants acting for Shell E&P Ireland Limited on the Corrib project. They claim that KPMG has warned them that if they expose what has been going on, the people running OSSL could themselves end up in jail. I assume that would be the case if they were found guilty of involvement in a criminal conspiracy to corrupt third parties, including the Garda/Police.
The relevant individuals seem so mad at Shell, that despite knowing that this might be the case, they are apparently hell bent on pursuing Shell at any cost, for the way they have been treated.
We first invited Shell to confirm or deny authenticity of OSSL evidence some six months ago, but have never received any response.
No one cay say we have not tried hard to establish the truth.

Deterding was the guest of Hitler during a four day summit meeting at Berchtesgaden. Sir Henri and Hitler both had ambitions on Russian oil fields. Only an honored personal guest would be rewarded with a private four day meeting at Hitler’s mountain top retreat.
