They always sound they know what they are talking about. There’s a lot of talk but where is the major operation to fix the problem? I nearly fell asleep listening to the prattle. We see a few vessels and a few booms and fires. This is a disaster of international concern. I want to see a mass of craft pulling miles of booms into position of about three layers and craft capable of sucking up the water filled oil and centrifuging it. Burning millions of cubic tonnes of oil is no solution. Containment must be done on an effective scale. Get the Navy out there. Use many skins of booms while as much of the spill is skimmed off and pumped into floating flexible pillow tanks. Surround the many square miles with workboats galore. It’s the price we must pay for having a flow of oil spewing out of a hole in Gaia’s under-sea skin. Talk isn’t going to fix it and saving money isn’t either.
