I attach a PDF file containing 17 pages of documents and correspondence involving The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, a Deputy Inspector General of the Nigerian Police and other parties involved in the tender/acquisition of arms and ammunition to enhance the security of Shell installations in Nigeria. These documents, if authentic, appear to directly contradict detailed rebuttal comments attributed to SPDC published on 10 June 2008 by allAfrica.com.
In January, the Sierra Club and Environment Texas filed a lawsuit against Shell Oil Company claiming the company exceeded its permitted limits on several air pollutants, including benzene, a toxin that causes cancer. The environmental groups allege that Shell self-reported excess emissions to TCEQ that amount to 1,000 separate violations stemming from unauthorized bursts of air pollution caused by maintenance and refinery malfunctions.
Thousands of Ogoni of Rivers State took to the streets of Port Harcourt, Monday, jubilating over the sacking of Shell Petroleum Development Company by the Federal Government from their land, and the resolve to replace the oil giant with another oil prospecting company.
Alexei Miller spoke at an OAO Gazprom presentation in which he also predicted the gas giant would be the world's biggest company by market value within seven to 10 years, with a capitalization of $1 trillion. Its current market cap is around $360 billion; Exxon Mobil Corp. is the current market-cap leader at about $463 billion.
Len McCluskey, assistant general secretary of Unite, said: "Only Shell sets the terms of this contract and only it can solve this dispute. This is one of the most profitable companies on earth and it now needs to provide the financial flexibility to avert this dispute."
About 700 former Southern Petroleum investors are seeking tens of millions of dollars from oil giant Shell - which inherited the assets and obligations of Fletcher Challenge Energy after a 2001 takeover - amid claims their shares were undervalued.
The US energy markets watchdog on Tuesday held talks with its UK counterpart about the possibility of introducing limits on traders positions in Londons oil markets, underlining in a sign of persistent US congressional concern that London is being exploited by speculators contributing to record oil prices.

Royal Dutch Shell conspired directly with Hitler, financed the Nazi Party, was anti-Semitic and sold out its own Dutch Jewish employees to the Nazis. Shell had a close relationship with the Nazis during and after the reign of Sir Henri Deterding, an ardent Nazi, and the founder and decades long leader of the Royal Dutch Shell Group. His burial ceremony, which had all the trappings of a state funeral, was held at his private estate in Mecklenburg, Germany. The spectacle (photographs below) included a funeral procession led by a horse drawn funeral hearse with senior Nazis officials and senior Royal Dutch Shell directors in attendance, Nazi salutes at the graveside, swastika banners on display and wreaths and personal tributes from Adolf Hitler and Reichsmarschall, Hermann Goring. Deterding was an honored associate and supporter of Hitler and a personal friend of Goring.
Deterding was the guest of Hitler during a four day summit meeting at Berchtesgaden. Sir Henri and Hitler both had ambitions on Russian oil fields. Only an honored personal guest would be rewarded with a private four day meeting at Hitler’s mountain top retreat.

MORE DETAILS: After a solicitor acting for Shell threatened to make the litigation "drawn out and difficult" with the intention of draining the resources of a financially weaker opponent, my late father (Alfred Donovan) and I decided to mount a wide-ranging campaign as a counter-measure. We jointly founded the Shell Corporate Conscience Pressure Group, which nearly 15% of Shell UK retailers joined. We regularly conducted ethical surveys involving up to 1500 Shell petrol stations. All responses were opened and authenticated by an independent solicitor who supplied Affidavits confirming the results. In whole page announcements in trade magazines (examples above) we challenged Shell to commission and publish the resuits of independent research asking the same questions and offering respondents GUARANTEED anonymity. Shell never took up the invitation. Instead it asked the UK Advertising Standards Authority to investigate our Shell surveys. No problems were found.
