A protestor who was arrested at the site of the planned Shell refinery in Ballinaboy, Co Mayo was today released by gardaí.
It follows six arrests over the weekend of protestors who had entered the site to inspect water treatment works.
Meanwhile, an oral hearing organised by the Environmental Protection Agency has opened in Co. Mayo.
It will hear objections to its plan to grant a licence to Shell Ireland to develop the gas refinery and combustion plant.
The board will make the final decision whether or not to grant a licence for the facility.

Deterding was the guest of Hitler during a four day summit meeting at Berchtesgaden. Sir Henri and Hitler both had ambitions on Russian oil fields. Only an honored personal guest would be rewarded with a private four day meeting at Hitler’s mountain top retreat.
