Dear Shell,

We are students from the International School of the Stockholm Region and we are writing to express our concern about how your company is affecting our environment. Each year you release an enormous amount of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, which lead to catastrophic consequences. It is predicted that in 15 years, mankind will have emitted enough carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases to rise Earth’s temperature by at least 2 degrees Celsius; exceeding the limit agreed by several governments in the Copenhagen Accord. Petroleum companies are one of the major contributors of these emissions, and your corporation is likewise enriching the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Therefore, we have brought it upon ourselves to urge you to come forth with an applicable plan which could reduce greenhouse gases emissions. read more

Michiel Brandjes a key executive at Royal Dutch Shell

On 12 October 2014, The Sunday Times Business Section published a front page article about the departure of Jonathan Lloyd, the company secretary of Tesco:

See Tesco turmoil grows as key executive quits

His position at Tesco seems to have been identical to MIchiel Brandjes, the Company Secretary and General Counsel Corporate of Royal Dutch Shell Plc.

“…Lloyd was listed as part of the board on Tesco’s website…” He advised the board on legal and governance issues. read more

AN OPEN LETTER

Dear Mr. Brandjes

I am disappointed, but perhaps not surprised, that Shell management has not been gallant enough to make any comment about the death of my father, a 96 year old 2nd World War veteran who had a business relationship with Shell stretching back over 50 years, the majority of which was mutually beneficial and friendly. read more

Constant cyber attacks on royaldutchshellplc.com website continue

I want it to be known that all of the nasty activity described in my email to Royal Dutch Shell, including covert attacks, continues to this day, currently on a 24 hour basis. Someone apparently has very deep pockets and is clearly not very fond of us.

By John Donovan

On 11 November 2012, we published an email I had sent to Mr Michiel Brandjes, Company Secretary & General Counsel Corporate of Royal Dutch Shell Plc. Mr Brandjes is our designated contact with Shell. I detailed in the email the various forms of unlawful activity directed at us and our website, including Denial of Service attacks.

I want it to be known that all of the nasty activity described in my email to Royal Dutch Shell, including covert attacks, continues to this day, currently on a 24 hour basis.

Shell investigates alleged IP theft at Geelong Refinery

Photograph of Shell’s Geelong refinery in Australia

By John Donovan

Printed below is email correspondence involving a whistleblower employee from Shell’s Geelong refinery in Australia and Mr Michiel Brandjes, Company Secretary and General Counsel Corporate of Royal Dutch Shell.

Although Mr Brandjes claimed that it was not a matter for correspondence with this website, he has in fact corresponded, replying within a deadline, and has agreed to intervene.

Shell has had a reasonable time to investigate, but apparently the matter has not been resolved. read more

Chinese Whispers about the death of a Hakluyt agent

The fact that Mr Heywood worked for Hakluyt (the corporate intelligence firm closely linked with Shell), is said to be seen by some as a clue to his untimely death. Titled Shell directors were the ultimate spymasters and major shareholders in Hakluyt.

EMAIL SENT BY JOHN DONOVAN TO MR MICHIEL BRANDJES, COMPANY SECRETARY & GENERAL COUNSEL CORPORATE, ROYAL DUTCH SHELL PLC. POSTED AS AN ARTICLE

Dear Mr Brandjes

I am sure you will be aware of the recent articles concerning sinister events in China.

Today, BBC News published an article: China arrests over coup rumours

Almost all of the articles contain a reference to Mr Neil Heywood, the 41 year old Englishmen found dead in mysterious circumstances at a hotel in the Chinese city, Chongqing.

The Telegraph published a related article earlier today under the headline: ‘I think Neil Heywood was killed… everyone’s scared’. read more

Shell Job Application Farce

Shell has been prepared to put up with the ignominy of its “No1 Enemy” receiving private communications meant for the company. Several years ago Mr Michiel Brandjes (right), Company Secretary & General Counsel Corporate, gave us written permission to vet incoming mail on behalf of Shell, using our discretion to remove and destroy what we consider to be spam and pass on to Shell what we decide they ought to see!

By John Donovan

Because Royal Dutch Shell Plc petulantly decided to keep trading under the name Royal Dutch Shell Plc  despite knowing that my father, Alfred Donovan, had registered the RoyalDutchShellPlc.com domain name, a certain amount of unforeseen confusion was probably inevitable.

Shell tried to escape humiliation by attempting to seize the domain name, issuing proceedings against him. Shell lost the case and did not bother to appeal against a unanimous verdict, which resulted in yet more embarrassment.

Email to Peter Voser concerning Royal Dutch Shell Nazi Secrets

By John Donovan

Printed below is an email my father sent to Richard Wiseman, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at Royal Dutch Shell Plc., which was also sent to Peter Voser, Chief Executive Officer and Michiel Brandjes, Company Secretary/General Counsel Corporate.

The stated subject: Royal Dutch Shell Nazi Secrets.

Knowing that my father is 93, it seems extraordinarily impolite of Mr Wiseman to not even have the courtesy to acknowledge receipt.  Shell has not taken issue with the accuracy of what was stated in the article, nor raised any copyright objections. read more

U.S. Dept. of Defense Confirms NCIS Espionage Investigation of Shell

Following my email correspondence with a U.S. intelligence source, and clearance obtained by that source from U.S. Dept. of Defense government attorneys, that source was authorized to confirm that an investigation directed at Shell USA was indeed initiated by the US Department of the Navy, Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).

Shell Internet Censorship

Shell Internet Censorship

Printed below is a Shell internal email sent in March 1999. Shell was obliged to supply it to us in accordance with an application we made under the UK Data Protection Act. The “X’s” denote sections redacted (censored) by Shell, which includes the name of its author and apparently an extensive circulation list – 4 lines deep.

Dear Mr Donovan,

Thank you for your message. I have referred all your emails regarding Data Protection Act (“DPA”) matters to the relevant staff and officers dealing with such matters and take it that they have responded as they deem appropriate. I am at this time not a spokes person for the Company in these DPA matters and a response by a Shell spokes person to a message addressed to me should count as a response by me. read more

EMAIL TO MICHIEL BRANDJES AND PETER VOSER CONCERNING SHELL SPY SCANDAL

Since I know from our contact with you over recent years that you are normally an unfailingly polite and efficient Company Secretary, I suspect that this change results from criticism you have received internally for being “a bit too enthusiastic about responding to Donovan…:" Apparently one of your colleagues - I can guess who - is jealous at the praise you have received on our website.

Dear Mr White.

Thank you for your email dated 27 November.

I note that you ignored my question about what, in Shell’s view, constitutes a “reasonable interval” between SAR applications from the same applicant. A response on that matter will be made after I receive the delivery of the promised information on or before 1st December i.e. by next Wednesday. read more
