Shell Singapore to cut 500 jobs in next three years as it downsizes Pulau Bukom operations

The transition at Bukom has been planned in consultation with all the stakeholders including the Government and the trade union.

SINGAPORE – Royal Dutch Shell’s pivot away from crude oil towards a low-carbon slate of fuels will cost Singapore 500 jobs and half of the processing capacity on Pulau Bukom in the next three years.Shell Singapore said on Tuesday (Nov 10) that the 1,300-strong Bukom workforce will be cut to 1,100 by the end of 2021, and downsized further to 800 in another two years
