Shell Oil Co. General Counsel, Global Litigation, Kimberly R. Phillips Joins CPR’s Board of Directors

New York, NY—The International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR), a global non-profit organization that advances dispute prevention and resolution practices and solutions, announced that Kimberly R. Phillips, General Counsel, Global Litigation, for Shell Oil Company has joined its Board of Directors. She was confirmed at a Board Meeting that took place just prior to CPR’s Annual Meeting in St. Petersburg, Florida in late February.

Kimberly is a seasoned legal professional with experience in both the private law firm and corporate legal environments. In her current General Counsel role, she leads a team of 125 lawyers and legal professionals, sitting in 14 countries, who are responsible for managing Shell’s disputes across the globe. She sits on the Global Legal Leadership Team and she also supports a Shell subsidiary business as a Board Director.

Kimberly has served in various leadership roles in numerous organizations, including four years on the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists, having been appointed by former Texas Governor Rick Perry; three years on the Houston Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission; and for legal and community based organizations such as the National Bar Association, and both the Texas and Houston Bar Associations. She is currently a member of the Texas Supreme Court Rules Advisory Committee and the Executive Committee of the Institute for Energy Law.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kimberly to our Board of Directors, as CPR continues to pursue ways to prevent or resolve conflict in order to help parties better achieve their purpose,” said CPR’s President and CEO, Allen Waxman.
