Shell signs five-year deal with CGI to support technical IT unit

Shell has signed a five-year deal with CGI to support the oil giant’s Technical and Competitive IT (TaCIT) unit, which is responsible for providing services across a number of the company’s key portfolios.

CGI acquired Logica, one of the UK’s largest outsourcing companies, in May last year for an estimated £1.7 billion.

As Shell’s lead key application services supplier, it will support TaCIT’s critical business and technical applications in three business areas…
