The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn’t purport to be a comprehensive list.
Motiva Enterprises LLC’s newly-commissioned crude unit at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery will be shut for up to three more days before restarting it, a source familiar with the refinery said on June 6. The 325,000-b/d unit was taken off-line early on June 4 after leaks occurred because of loose valves.
BP PLC (BP) on June 5 said gasoline-making FCCU No. 3 had been restarted after going off-line, unplanned, on May 24. The unit had just been restarted on May 21 following five months of maintenance.
Phillips 66 (PSX) on June 5 said recent maintenance at its Rodeo, Calif., refinery had been concluded; no other details were provided. The refinery reported flaring associated with a unit restart on May 31.
Several units, including a coker, pretreater and hydrogen unit, are scheduled for several weeks of planned maintenance at Exxon Mobil’s (XOM) Torrance, Calif., refinery, the co. said on June 4. The plant filed a planned flaring report to Calif. regulators on June 1 stating flaring may be visible between June 4 and 13.
BP Plc has restarted production at its Cherry Point refinery in Blaine, Washington, after months of maintenance work, a source familiar with the refinery said May 29.

Deterding was an honored associate and supporter of Hitler and a personal friend of Goring.
Deterding was the guest of Hitler during a four day summit meeting at Berchtesgaden. Sir Henri and Hitler both had ambitions on Russian oil fields. Only an honored personal guest would be rewarded with a private four day meeting at Hitler’s mountain top retreat.
