KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia, Feb 1 (Reuters) – State-run oil firm Saudi Aramco and Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) said on Monday they signed a contract with Japan’s JGC Gulf International (1963.T) to build two units at their joint refinery, in a bid to improve the refinery’s environmental performance.
The units will help reduce sulphur dioxide emissions to less than 250 part per million on start up, the joint company, Sasref, said in an emailed statement.
This will not improve the profitability of the company, which operates a 305,000 barrels per day (bpd) crude refinery in Jubail on the Gulf coast, the company said.

Deterding was an honored associate and supporter of Hitler and a personal friend of Goring.
Deterding was the guest of Hitler during a four day summit meeting at Berchtesgaden. Sir Henri and Hitler both had ambitions on Russian oil fields. Only an honored personal guest would be rewarded with a private four day meeting at Hitler’s mountain top retreat.
