Sept. 14 (Bloomberg) — Australias biggest energy project, the A$50 billion ($43.2 billion) Gorgon liquefied natural gas development, will be unveiled today after joint venture partner Royal Dutch Shell Plc gave the go-ahead at a meeting on Friday, the Australian newspaper said.
With Chevron Corp. and Exxon Mobil Corp., the ventures other partners, having signed off and environmental approval already granted, the Shell approval paves the way for the project to begin, the newspaper said, without citing anyone. The field was first discovered in 1981, it said.
The parties will announce the final investment decision at a Perth briefing, attended by West Australian Premier Colin Barnett, federal government representatives and Chevrons global exploration and production head, George Kirkland, the newspaper reported.

The spectacle (photographs below) included a funeral procession led by a horse drawn funeral hearse with senior Nazis officials and senior Royal Dutch Shell directors in attendance, Nazi salutes at the graveside, swastika banners on display and wreaths and personal tributes from Adolf Hitler and Reichsmarschall, Hermann Goring. Deterding was an honored associate and supporter of Hitler and a personal friend of Goring.
Deterding was the guest of Hitler during a four day summit meeting at Berchtesgaden. Sir Henri and Hitler both had ambitions on Russian oil fields. Only an honored personal guest would be rewarded with a private four day meeting at Hitler’s mountain top retreat.
