LONDON, July 23 (Reuters) – A small amount of production has resumed at one of Royal Dutch Shell’s Forcados oilfields in Nigeria, a spokeswoman said on Monday.
Shell said the South Bank flow station, which is connected to the Forcados oil export terminal, restarted production in April.
At peak capacity, the flow station pumps about 36,000 barrels per day. Shell declined to specify how much was currently being produced.
South Bank is just one of several flow stations connected to the Forcados oil tanker loading platform. The platform took in about 380,000 barrels per day before being shut down in February 2006 due to damage from militant attacks.
A Shell executive last month said massive repairs were still needed at several flow stations before normal production could restart. The company declined to say how long this would take.
“A force majeure is still in place for Forcados and will be until all contracts have been fulfilled from the time of its declaration,” said spokeswoman Eurwen Thomas. The Forcados oil export terminal is loading about two 950,000-barrel cargoes a month, trade sources said, with the majority of the volume from storage.

Deterding was an honored associate and supporter of Hitler and a personal friend of Goring.
Deterding was the guest of Hitler during a four day summit meeting at Berchtesgaden. Sir Henri and Hitler both had ambitions on Russian oil fields. Only an honored personal guest would be rewarded with a private four day meeting at Hitler’s mountain top retreat.
