Shell to Sea: Rossport Support Demonstration, February 16th

Activists from Dublin will be among the people from many parts of the country who will join in the large scale Shell to Sea demonstration of support in Mayo on Friday morning next, February 16th.

A bus will be leaving from Dublin at 6PM on Thursday 15th. The bus will be returning to Dublin on Friday afternoon/evening. The price for the return trip is €30. To book a place please call 0876181620. Places on the bus are limited so please book as quickly as you can.

Independent travellers are of course welcome, but if you are not travelling as part of a group, please call the people in Mayo to let them know you are coming: 097 20944.

Basic accommodation will be organised by the solidarity camp, and local people will also provide sofa and spare bed space.

Spending time outdoors in north west Mayo at this time of year is a serious prospect. Please bring sensible footwear and warm and waterproof clothing.

It is advisable to bring:

A Sleeping bag
Warm clothing and waterproofs.
Waterproof boots.
A torch.
A packed lunch/ food for Friday morning.

There will be a discussion of the logistics of the demonstration at the regular Shell to Sea meeting at 8PM on Tuesday Feb 13th in Seomra Spraoi, 6 Ormond Quay Dublin 1, and anyone travelling is welcome to attend.
