MOSCOW, February 6 (Itar-Tass) — Gazprom’s affiliation to the Sakhalin 2 project will help the fulfillment of long-term gas delivery contracts, Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko said on Tuesday.
Everything will be done to fully meet the gas contractual commitments for the next 30 years, he said.
The construction of a liquidified natural gas plant in Sakhalin is behind schedule, the minister said. The plant may become the world largest producer of liquidified natural gas. “Only liquidified natural gas is a global product,” he added.
