EIGHT people – four gardai and four protesters – were injured in heated confrontations yesterday at the controversial Shell gas pipeline and terminal.
One activist warned last night that someone is going to be killed in the escalating violence over the pipeline.
Rossport 5 activist Micheal O Seighin yesterday witnessed the most violent exchanges yet between protesters and gardai at Bellanaboy in Co Mayo.
Of the eight injured, two were hospitalised.
