screen-shot-2016-12-03-at-18-33-37Torres Advanced Enterprise Solutions (Torres) was today awarded a multi-year select supplier contract with Shell International B.V. (Shell) to provide long-term, full-spectrum security services for their operations in South America. Specific countries of focus will be Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. The contract, which was decided after an extensive selection process in which Shell vetted twenty-one multinational security companies, was awarded to Torres based upon its quality service record and competitive pricing. Torres successfully completed the technical evaluation process and commercial pricing rounds before being awarded the contract.

Shell was particularly impressed with Torres’s corporate footprint and its ability to provide turnkey solutions in remote and high-threat locations both worldwide and in the Americas. Torres has made a name for itself as a reliable provider of professional security and related services under hostile conditions, including providing uninterrupted services during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as during armed conflicts, natural disasters and civil unrest in multiple locations around the world. Torres is now looking to expand its operations in the field of commercial security and professional services.

Specific details of the contract’s governing Enterprise Framework Agreement will be determined at an onboarding session with Shell in mid-August. Initially, Shell is likely to require risk management and meet-and-greet services as Shell ramps up its operations in the region. The next phase of service would entail long-term, full-spectrum security operations consisting of Personal Security Details, base camp construction and operational support services, static and electronic security, biometrics, tactical operations center design, and tracking and monitoring of key personnel and assets. Torres is fully prepared to provide Shell with these services. As a key differentiator, Torres utilizes both Western expatriate security professionals with extensive experience in the region of interest who can perform comprehensive risk assessments and work hand-in-glove with Shell Corporate Security as well as local nationals who offer a more nuanced familiarity with linguistic and cultural sensitivities and potential security issues in the region.

As part of this operation, Torres will work with Shell to be fully integrated into their corporate security apparatus, to include adopting Shell corporate security Standard Operating Procedures and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) procedures and certifications. Shell remains impressed by Torres’s level of process standardization, which includes obtaining the American National Standards Institute – PSC.1 standard for quality management as a Private Security Company.
